When we start seeing weekly articles of ocean animals found dead due to 80 pounds of plastic in their bodies, its beyond time for reflection.  It's time for action. So... there's over 7 Billion of us and we are collectively taking a toll.  However, if we all make small changes, it will make a big impact. After all, do we really want to collect plastic at the beach instead of shells? Plastic packaging is everywhere. 

 

Here's where you can start:

* Bring your own mug to the coffee shop.

* Bring your own bags to the store... Do we really need a bag for everything???

* Recycle plastic and plastic bags.

* Refuse the plastic straw! Unless you have a health issue that makes drinking water easier, why do we really need them?

I live in Butler County, Pennsylvania, USA. One hot topic here is the amount of local fracking that is happening all along the countryside.  Companies came in and got many people to sign on to the natural gas band wagon to earn royalties while the gas production progressed. Although this helps many families financially in the short term, the long term health impacts are not so royal.
